Despite having been recognized by over 80 governments and being a full member state of the African Union, U.S. government maps show it as part of Morocco, which invaded that country and currently occupies nearly 80% of its territory. The United States, along with Israel, are the only countries which have formally recognized that autocratic monarchy's illegal annexation.
